Zimmatik is a European manufacturer of KNX building automation for the hospitality sector. Headquartered in Palma de Mallorca, supplying KNX integrators across Europe.

01 — What we do

Zimmatik designs and manufactures KNX room controllers, touch panels, gateways, sensors and DALI actuators for hotel projects. Every device is built on open standards — KNX, BACnet/IP, DALI, Modbus — and engineered to be specified, commissioned and serviced by professional integrators.

02 — Where we are

Hardware, firmware, cloud platform and AI services are developed in-house in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. Manufacturing, quality control and European logistics are operated from the same location, providing direct technical support and short lead times across the EU.

03 — How we engineer

Four engineering principles shape every Zimmatik device.

Open standards

KNX, native BACnet/IP, DALI-2 and Modbus on every relevant product. No proprietary lock-in for core building functions.

Vertical integration

Electronics, firmware, cloud and AI developed under one roof. Faster iteration, single point of accountability.

Programmability

MicroPython and Structured Text on the room controller. Custom room logic without external PLCs.

European supply

Engineered in Europe, manufactured in Spain. European RMA from Mallorca and three-year product warranty.

04 — Product roadmap

A five-device platform delivered between 2026 and 2028.

  1. 2026

    ZM-1 Room controller

    Six-module DIN controller. KNX TP, KNX Tunneling, BACnet/IP, DALI, Modbus RTU/TCP. MicroPython and Structured Text. Available to partners.

  2. 2027

    ZP-1 and ZG-1

    Capacitive 5" touch panel for guest rooms and four-module multi-protocol gateway for BMS retrofit.

  3. 2028

    ZS-1 and ZA-1

    Ceiling presence sensor with PIR and optional mmWave, and DIN-rail DALI-2 actuator with manual override and emergency test.

  4. Ongoing

    Platform services

    ETS database updates, OTA firmware releases, integrator resources and partner directory maintained continuously.

05 — Headquarters

Palma de Mallorca, Balearic Islands, Spain. European customer support and RMA operated from the same site.
